Wanting to become a NASCAR Youth Series sanctioned track? Its an easy process! Let us take you through it!
Step 1 - Build your Track (Unless you have one)
With a track built, you are almost ready to go racing, but you must have a track first. Lets first look into what it takes to build your track. Tracks can be built in many different shapes, sizes, dirt, pavement, and so many more variables. First thing to do is decide: do you want a dirt or a pavement track. We'll focus on pavement first, and then go into dirt.
For a track, you can answer the following questions:
1. Where do you want the location for your track to be? When selecting land, think about your track, hot chute, staging, tower, and anything else you want around the track, but also think about trailer parking, motorhome parking, and anything else that you will need space for pertaining to your track.
2. How big do you want your track to be? We require approximately 1/20 of a mile for the track, but specifics are all up to you. If every track in the country was identical, it wouldn't be any fun to travel to other tracks! For the specifications, the typical width of the track (all the way around) is between 35 ft and 40 ft. The typical width of the inner infield is between 25 ft and 35 ft. The typical length of the inner infield is between 90 ft and 130 ft.
3. What kind of banking do you want your track to have?
Step 2 - Sanction your Track
Track sanction (including insurance) can be purchased through NASCARsanction.com. It is a year long sanction. For insurance, you have 2 options. a $1 million policy and a $5 million policy. It is solely up to you and your needs for which policy you take, but we do require you to purchase one of them.
For your insurance, Hoosier pays for over half of it for you through the Hoosier Tire Club Insurance Fund. They contribute $3,000 to each club to help offset the insurance cost that come with running a club. For up to date cost of insurance, please refer to the current NASCAR Youth Sanction.
Step 3 - Grow your Track
Growing your track can be the hardest part, but we want to help as much as we can. In 2025, we are introducing Project Clubs, where we focus on clubs, and getting back to our roots. We have over 60 clubs around the country that with our 1 membership, you can race at. That is just 1 value that NASCAR Youth brings, and we want to add your club too!
New for 2025:
- More National events at Club tracks
- Showcase races at club tracks (National promoted races streamed LIVE on FloRacing)
- Driver promotion materials to help drivers get fans, sponsors, and drive people to your club
- Increased full time staff to help give you resources (Competition, Technical, Marketing, Video Technology, Scoring, Timing, Membership Services, Insurance)
