INDIANAPOLIS RACEWAY PARK

SPEEDWAY, IN (Aug. 3, 2023) — Carson Hocevar, driver of the No. 42 WWEX

Racing Chevrolet Silverado for Niece Motorsports, has been named the Honorary

Grand Marshal for the NASCAR Youth Series’ national race at Lucas Oil Indianapolis

Raceway Park on Aug. 10-12.

Hocevar earned his first ever NCTS earlier this season at Texas Motor

Speedway. He has visited victory lane this year at Nashville Superspeedway and most

recently with his win at Richmond Raceway. He is currently third in the NCTS driver

point standings.

In addition to his current success in the NCTS, Hocevar also made his first

NASCAR Cup Series debut in June driving for Spire Motorsports at WorldWide

Technology Raceway in St. Louis, Mo.

The 20-year-old from Portage, Mich., is no stranger when it comes to quarter

midget racing. Hocevar is a 15-time NYS (formerly known as USAC.25) National

Champion and amassed an astonishing 79 career wins in quarter midgets.

Hocevar moved up to driving Super Late Models where he won several races

including the famed Winchester 400 at Winchester Speedway. He also made a few

starts in ARCA before making the leap into the NCTS.

With almost 60 NYS-sanctioned clubs located all across the country, thousands

of kids ages five and up, along with their families, participate in quarter-midget racing.

Some notable NASCAR graduates of quarter midget racing include Jeff Gordon, Joey

Logano, Ryan Newman, Alex Bowman, Ryan Blaney, Justin Allgaier, Harrison Burton,

Justin Haley, Daniel Dye and Todd Gilliland. For more information, visit
